Course Objective

At the conclusion of this seminar, participants should be able to:

Be familiar with common orthopaedic conditions of the knee and shoulder.

Understand how to evaluate pathology of the knee and shoulder

Appreciate indications and contraindications for arthroscopy vs arthroplasty in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee and shoulder

Describe current surgical techniques in the treatment of disorders of the knee and shoulder

Be aware of treatment of meniscus, articular cartilage and ligament disorders of the knee

Be updated on current approaches to shoulder instability, arthritis, cuff tears and AC joint separations

Be aware and updated in evaluation and treatment of the fractures and dislocations of the shoulder and knee.

Be aware and updated in indications and contraindications of shoulder and knee arthroplasty.


Be aware and updated in new surgical techniques in unicompartmental knee arthroplasty.

Be aware and updated in revision arthroplasty of the knee and shoulder.

Target Audience

Orthopaedic surgeons in practice, orthopaedic surgery resident and fellows, physical therapists, athletic trainers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and operating room personnel.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Requests for refunds must be received in writing postmarked prior to March 1st, 2010. No refunds will be issued beyond this date for any circumstances. Refunds will be subject to a $ 75.00 administrative and processing fee. We reserve the right to cancel or substitute topics and/or speakers. In case of course cancellation, persons registered for the course will be notified by telephone using the number(s) they have provided on the registration form and their registration fee will be refunded.
